We're based at 146 Lake St N in Forest Lake, and the trucks that show up at your house work this same stretch of Washington and Anoka County most days of the week. Most of the homes we get called to were built somewhere between 1950 and 2002, with a lot of that stock going up through the 80s and 90s across the 31 named areas we cover - Forest Lake proper, Wyoming six miles out, Scandia the same distance, Columbus, Chisago City, Centerville, and on out past Lino Lakes and Stacy toward Center City and North Branch. That range matters because a door installed in 1985 and a door installed in 2001 don't take the same parts, and we've seen both by lunchtime on a normal day.
We're not a call center routing you to whoever's closest - the person who answers the phone knows which of these towns is fifteen minutes out and which is forty, and books accordingly. If your address is past our normal radius we'll tell you straight instead of taking the job and running late.

Houses from the 1950s-through-1980s wave of construction around here often still run original hardware, and sometimes the honest answer is that the track or the spring system is old enough that patching it costs more over a year than replacing it once. We'll say that instead of billing you twice.
What we won't do is quote you a price over the phone before we've looked at the door - a bent track can look like a bad opener and vice versa, and guessing costs you money either way. We also don't stock every part for every door made in the last fifty years; if yours is an odd size or an older brand, we'll tell you up front if we need to order it rather than pretend we've got it on the truck.
